The thylacine, also known as the Tasmanian Tiger and the Tasmanian Wolf (among other nicknames), is most likely the first extinct mammal I have sculpted, not to mention the first extinct marsupial, with the last known specimen dying in captivity in 1936. A number of unconfirmed sightings over the past seven decades have, however, convinced many people that it still exists out in the wild, somewhere.
