This is one of the original models of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 used when filming Star Trek. Apparently its five-year mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, and to boldly go where no man has gone before led it to the lower level of the National Air & Space Museum's gift shop.
