You know, even though the ocean doesn't especially like me (low body fat = gets cold easily + sinks like a stone), I do still find it a fascinating thing. It's huge, so massive, and has been a source of adventure, mystery, and inspiration for untold thousands of years of human history. And somehow, sometimes, when you watch it, you can feel connected to it, through the sound and the smell and the feel of it, connected to something so much larger than us and yet so intimately connected to the history and fate of the human race.
