Howard County Fair, MD - August 5, 2007

I was a little torn on how, exactly to classify this picture. Nature, because it's a plant? Manmade, because it's in an unnatural setting? Of course, since it won first prize in the "Freak" category (which I couldn't have made up if I tried) due to its uncanny resemblence to a crotchety old man, "Grandpa" here just had to be in Oddities.

Also, I just want to say that even though the Oddities section is generally reserved for things that are "interesting" but not necessarily "good pictures," I really do like this one quite a lot.
