Patapsco Valley State Park, MD - May 30, 2006

I stumbled across this spot on the shore of the Patapsco River and there were just dozens and dozens of these butterflies flitting around. Unfortunately, it's remarkably hard to photograph butterflies while they were flying. Luckily, these particular butterflies didn't seem to have much problem staying still and posing for me.
