That sinking feeling is kinda pretty
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Richmond, VA - March 18, 2006

From the Botanical Garden's website:

"The Sunken Garden: As you step down into the Sunken Garden, you return to second-century Rome, where ancient urban gardens were designed for cool temperatures, the flow of water (via gravity), and a sense of privacy. Visitors are surrounded by a dry-laid stone wall as a backdrop for a calming, pastel collection of perennials and seasonal bloomers The oval-shaped pool reflects the magnificent sparkling Conservatory rising in the background."
